Katelyn graduated from Harvard (Magna Cum Laude) with a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology, a minor in Visual and Environmental Studies, and a citation in Spanish in December 2009. Her background consists of experiences in both science and entertainment, including stem cell research at the National Institutes of Health and the Harvard Stem Cell Institute, film production at Spyglass Entertainment, and space tourism marketing at Space Adventures. She is currently an Associate Consultant at Bain & Company and will attend Harvard Business School through the 2+2 Program in 2012. Katelyn co-founded DigiLit because of her desire to make science and technology approachable and exciting for people of all backgrounds.
Melissa is a senior at Harvard from South Florida, where she has always been dedicated to serving her community. A Coca Cola Scholar and recipient of the Tomorrow25 Award for her service and leadership, Melissa founded and developed the nonprofit organization, The Opp-Guide to Community Service, Inc. (www.opp-guide.com), which helps link teens with service opportunities. Melissa helped start DigiLit in the fall of 2008. Awarded as a Siemens-Westinghouse National Semifinalist for her research investigating nano-material behaviors, she is a History of Science concentrator, interested in studying legal and privacy issues concerning cyberspace.

MacKenzie graduated from Harvard (Magna Cum Laude) with a degree in Visual and Environmental Studies and a language citation in Spanish. Co-enrolled at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, she earned her certification to teach high school and middle school mathematics, by combining more than 500 classroom teaching hours with graduate coursework. She served as a Chair of Harvard Women in Business, Co-Chair of the Women's Leadership Conference, Co-President of the Women's Leadership Project, President of Kappa Alpha Theta, and Sports Editor of the Yearbook. This fall, MacKenzie will earn her Masters from Oxford. A co-founder of DigiLit, MacKenzie has combined her passion for education with her work with multimedia technologies.
Spencer Chan is a senior at Harvard studying Mathematics and Computer Science. He was born and raised on the Palos Verdes peninsula just south of Los Angeles. Spencer has worked as a web designer, an artificial intelligence researcher, a community fundraiser director, and an organizer for the Harvard College Entrepreneurship Forum. He has a black belt in Shotokan Karate, and enjoys distance running and playing Ultimate Frisbee.
